Objectives:

The aim of this short course in IPC is to familiarise healthcare managers (particularly in quality assurance) with evidence-based infection control practices. The course will provide a basis for developing health policies for safe clinical practice and policies for both patients and staff while covering relevant yet basic aspects in infection control. Infection control practitioners (ICP) interested in a career in this subject may enrol in the Postgraduate Diploma in Infection Control (PDIC), a two year intensive modular course which is the first of its kind in Africa.
