Objectives:

The course is designed specifically for IPC practitioners and healthcare professionals who work in IPC and quality assurance and the aim is to equip the student with the knowledge to do IPC surveillance, interpret epidemiological data, and do research in the field of IPC.

The objectives are to:
Introduce basic concepts in research methodology and statistics to infection control practitioners.
Differentiate between surveillance and research.
Allow for critical evaluation of published literature and scientific material.
Improve data collection and statistics among IPC teams.
Interpret data at the workplace with meaningful outcome for Quality Assurance.
