Objectives:

The course is designed specifically for IPC practitioners and healthcare professionals who work in IPC and quality assurance and the aim is to establish knowledge and skills related to the role of IPC in hospital design and management. This course is one of the modules of the PGDIC but is offered as a stand-alone module as well.

The objectives are to:
1. Understand the basics of infection prevention and control and how it is influenced by hospital design.
2. Management of patients, equipment and staff in a safe and healthy environment.
3. Support health managers in designing new hospitals and health facilities.
4. Improve patient care.
