Objectives:

Overall Aim:
For participants to begin to explore the practice of mindfulness experientially and to understand the theoretical basis and clinical context of its application.

The objectives of the short course are to:
Introduce the theoretical, philosophical and historical foundations of mindfulness
Introduce the theoretical foundations of mindfulness-based interventions
Explore the contextual application of mindfulness-based interventions
Introduce practitioners to both formal mindfulness practices and the integration of mindfulness in to daily living.
Explore and examine the challenges and insights that arise out of the practice of mindfulness
