Objectives:

The course looks at all the factors involved in selectivity as well as the herbicide recommendations. The absorption and translocation of herbicides as well as the factors influencing efficacy of herbicides are studied. The course aims to give the participants a comprehensive overview of the weeds that impact crops. It looks at the biology of weeds as well as the best practices for weed management. Degradation and carry-over of the various herbicides as well as herbicide resistance and integrated weed management is discussed.
