The Biomatrix Course on Sustainable Design: Public Policy (Re)Design teaches the generic principles of how systems are organised and how these principles need to be applied in order to create and implement a sustainable system design and dissolve complex problems.
They learn about the design, development and transformation of systems, especially that of different types of activity systems (e.g. a project, function and industry) and that all activity systems are supply and value chains.
Participants apply this knowledge to the (re)design of an activity system, using the public (sub)function, or (sub)industry, or industry supply chain section of which they are part as a case study in order to learn how a sustainable and (w)holistic public policy ought to be designed. Completing the course enables the participant to become a Learning Facilitator in a delivery of the Biomatrix Societal
Transformation Programme to their organisation. It also enables them to act as internal consultant in other activity system related change intervention in their organisation.
