Objectives:

The purpose/goal of this course is to provide researchers with a nuanced understanding of how to engage with decision-makers in order to encourage the use of evidence in decision-making. The objectives of the course:
Remind participants of concepts covered in the precursor foundation course on the importance of Evidence-Informed Decision Making, as well as key concepts relevant to the science, art & context complexity of Knowledge Translation.
Introduce participants to facilitators and barriers to engaging with decision-makers and how these can be managed
Encourage researchers to foster trusting relationships with research users and create or capitalize on opportunities for engagement
