Stellenbosch University’s Short Courses Division was established in January 2007 with the aim of co-ordinating, standardising and supporting the short course processes on behalf of the institution.

The presentation of short courses is a teaching activity that takes place in the name of the University and needs to comply with the quality assurance requirements of the University and the relevant government and regulatory institutions.

Postgraduate & International Students

“Short-term mobility students” are international students who come to study or do research at Stellenbosch University short-term, without obtaining a degree. The different types of short-term mobility students include Freemovers, exchange students, and students from the American Institute for Foreign Study (AIFS), IEC, CISabroad and USAC​.​

StellMed – Courses in Continuing Professional Development

StellMed, a CPD initiative of the Faculty of Health Sciences of Stellenbosch University, attempts to build capacity in the private and public health care sector by offering continuing education programmes for doctors.
