Objectives:

By the end of the programme, participants will be able to diagnose substrate and water quality constraints, calculate crop¿specific nutrient requirements, and translate those calculations into balanced stock solutions that sustain optimal EC and pH throughout the production cycle. They will confidently calibrate and troubleshoot injection and monitoring equipment, design irrigation schedules that integrate leaching¿fraction targets and crop-stage water demand, and implement closed-loop or recirculating systems that minimise fertiliser losses and environmental impact. Graduates will also be equipped to interpret real-time data, adjust recipes in response to seasonal or varietal shifts, and communicate evidence-based recommendations to growers and technical teams¿ultimately boosting yield, product quality, and resource-use efficiency in greenhouses, tunnels, and other precision-irrigated systems.
