In small-scale or garagiste style winemaking, wine is normally produced from 20 to 1000 kg of grapes. The number of people making wine at home has increased significantly in the past few years. The University of Stellenbosch has come to realize the need for a comprehensive course, which focuses on small-scale or garagiste winemaking for the general public. We thus offer a 2-day garagiste winemaking course for people interested in producing quality small-scale wines at home. The course is aimed at persons without any prior wine background, as well as those who have done wine appreciation courses in the past.
