To develop leadership capacity of middle managers in the agricultural environment
Agriculture is a fast-evolving space, where specialists must contend with multiple uncertainties while still meeting a variety of strategic targets. This course will assist students to understand the changing environment and agricultural development scenarios, develop their project management skills, and enhance their leadership and mentoring skills.
The objective of the course is to acquaint the participants with basic practical and theoretical principles and techniques that are used to develop a once-off project, within specified time, cost, and performance targets.
Each student works on a project linked to their major field of study, while learning the principles of project management and leadership that can be applied across contexts.Project management is a skill obtained as one matures and grows in one¿s career and migrates from a functional work domain to an integrative co-ordinating role, and this life-long learning opportunity offers education, experience and certification to students
Education is required to develop a sound foundation of the theories, practices, standards, terminology, and tools that are used in project management
