This course provides participants with a comprehensive overview of weed biology and effective weed management strategies. It covers factors influencing the efficacy and selectivity of herbicides, detailed discussions on the most important chemical groups and their modes of action, and practical herbicide recommendations. Additionally, the course addresses herbicide degradation, carryover effects, herbicide resistance, and integrated weed management (IWM).
The course looks at all the factors involved in selectivity as well as the herbicide recommendations. The absorption and translocation of
herbicides as well as the factors influencing efficacy of herbicides are studied.
The course aims to give the participants a comprehensive overview of the weeds that impact crops. It looks at the biology of weeds as well as
the best practices for weed management.
The chemical groups and site of action of herbicide are examined in detail. Degradation and carry-over of the various herbicides as well as
herbicide resistance and integrated weed management is discussed.
