The aim of the teaching activity is to familiarise the participants with the concepts and practical aspects of human population genetics and take this further for implementation in two widely used statistical techniques namely, genome-wide association studies and other statistical models.
The objectives are:
1. Perform lectures on crucial human population genetic concepts
2. Provide practical opportunities to implement these concepts
3. Use the skills learnt from point 1 and point 2 in the implementation of statistical models.
