Objectives:

Recognising the main aspects of the meanings of medical terms and formulating definitions of medical terms.
Demonstrating the importance of correct pronunciation and the impact of suffix functions when ermining the meaning of a medical term.
Demonstrating how the structural parts of medical terms and their meanings function and combine to establish unique meanings of medical terms as they function in a medical context.
Establishing how the meanings of medical terms can be determined by means of analysis of the medical terms into their meaningful constituent parts.
Understanding basic principles of term usage when referring to concepts in the medical field and obtain insight and knowledge of the Greek and Latin derived basic structures of medical terms.
