Objectives:

Expose students to the methodology and rationale of specialised IP law practice in copyright, trade marks, patents and related aspects Establish an introductory knowledge of the field of Intellectual Property Law Spread a common understanding of intellectual property (and IP Law) as widely as possible Establish the commercial realities of Intellectual Property Introduce the importance of a well structured and vigilant IP portfolio in light of the role of ICT on legal practice Provide an introductory knowledge of the individual component practice areas of Intellectual Property Law and practice
