Objectives:

The objective of Community Development as a discipline is to enhance the quality of life of those groups that experience insistent inequality due to poverty. Quality of life is improved by means of an ongoing investment in the socio-economic wellness of impoverished communities, with the aim of sustainable human development. Sustainability of such efforts requires a healthy partnership between stakeholders as well as the identification and incorporation of all available resources in the identified community. In this two-day course development facilitators will receive skills training in designing and leading a short to medium term social development vision and plan for their respective communities/target groups.
