Objectives:
This course focuses on pavement materials beneath the surfacing layer, including the subgrade, in both flexible and rigid pavements. Attention is paid to the characterization of soils, unbound and bound materials. Engineering and performance charac¬teristics are considered with relation to environmental impacts and traffic loading.
