Objectives:

To understand the present and future functioning of the global transportation system including transportation by road, rail, sea and air To understand the present and future requirements for transportation, and projected production capacities for traditional fossil fuels and alternative fuels. To understand the functioning of different types of internal combustion engines used in vehicles, as well as battery-electric vehicles and hybrids To understand concepts relating to engine engine performance such as torque, power, efficiency and specific fuel consumption and correctly interpret manufacturers' data on these metrics.
