All short learning programme presentations (programmes, short courses) which form part of Stellenbosch University’s academic offering must satisfy the University’s quality assurance requirements.
The University’s quality assurance criteria for short programme presentations include:
- Planning all aspects of short course design and development (including specific academic standards and minimum level requirements, teaching and learning resources and assessment processes.
- Approval by Senate on the recommendation of the Academic Planning Committee (APC) and where Senate has delegated the responsibility for the approval of short courses to the deans.
- Specific minimum entry requirements for short course participation
- Assessment strategies and feedback
- Certification arrangements
